The project is located in the mountain village of Kamilari in Southern Crete, with a panoramic view over the olive tree fields of Messara, the mountain of Psiloritis and the Cretan Sea. A main sustainable typology, inspired by the traditional Cretan architecture, is repeated with slight differentiations to form a small settlement which is placed among the existing olive trees. Each building unit ensures private exterior spaces for the residents, which are connected to a wider network of public spaces, where the residents can socialize, or participate in agricultural activities, enhancing their contact with the natural environment.
